Trash
Nothing is deleted right away. Deleting a video, emptying a library or deleting it moves everything to the papelera (trash), where it stays for 30 days.
What goes to the trash
Section titled “What goes to the trash”- Videos (Eliminar (Delete) on the selection or Eliminar video (Delete video) in the context menu): their data, the translation, the voices, what was downloaded and which collections they were in.
- An emptied library (Vaciar… (Empty…) in the library’s “⋯” menu): all its videos and its collections.
- A deleted library (Eliminar): the whole library, with its settings and its own trash.
Files are moved, not copied: it is instant and takes no extra space.
When you delete, a notice appears with Deshacer (Undo): one click and everything is back as it was.
Restore or delete forever
Section titled “Restore or delete forever”In Preferencias › Papelera (Preferences › Trash) is the list, with when it was deleted and how many days it has left. Each entry has Restaurar (Restore; it returns to its library, with its collections) and Borrar para siempre (Delete forever). Vaciar la papelera (Empty trash) deletes everything forever.
On startup, Translay deletes whatever is older than 30 days.
Confirm by typing the name
Section titled “Confirm by typing the name”Vaciar… and Eliminar on a library ask you to type its name to confirm, so it can’t be triggered by a stray click. Vaciar… is in each library’s “⋯” menu (Preferences › Bibliotecas or the Bibliotecas screen), no longer in the Todos header.
